From half-price tuition for high school students wanting to get an early start on college to generous amounts of financial aid, MCC is one of the premier educational facilities in the Midwest. With eight campus locations across the state, students are able to conduct their studies close to home without having to worry about commuting long distances to class. Omaha and the other campus locations are noted for their friendly small-town atmospheres and commitment to excellence in everything they do. Offering degrees and certificates available in-person as well as online, the college provides students the chance to obtain degrees for transfer to four-year schools or ones to let them immediately enter the workforce. The school has been recognized as being very military-friendly, and offers veterans a number of programs to make the college experience as easy as possible. These include support groups for veterans and their families, financial aid programs, career advising services and much more. Diversity is another important issue to the school, and it conquers this topic by hosting events celebrating Black History and Latino/Hispanic Heritage Month. Also offering seminars in stress management and student success basics, the school is always looking for ways to make the college experience more enjoyable.

Metropolitan also wants to help those students who were unable to complete their high school studies by offering a GED program. Realizing education can be attained at any age under almost any circumstances, MCC offers class locations throughout the Omaha area for very affordable prices. Many students who have received their GED's through this program have gone on to become MCC students, with some eventually transferring to four-year colleges and receiving Bachelor's degrees. The school is also committed to saving the planet and its resources, and does so by using the latest in alternative energy sources and green initiatives to maintain a campus promoting a new way of living.
