Brief Description

Camden County College was founded in 1967. The school is located in Camden County with four separate campus locations in Blackwood (main campus), Camden, Sicklerville, and Cherry Hill. Blackwood is a small unincorporated area with a census population of just over 4,500 people.

The college offers over 100 programs designed to earn a Associates degree or certification. For students wishing to transfer to a four-year university, they offer AA, AFA, and AS degrees. They also offer AAS degrees and certifications for student looking to gain skills and experience in order to secure specific employment. For those with commuting issues, many programs are available through the online curriculum. The school offers a challenging honors curriculum for students who are interested in transferring to some of the top universities from around the country. The school also has a very popular Liberal Arts program. Camden County College received their accreditation from the Commission on Higher Education, Middle States Association of Secondary Schools and Colleges.

Camden's athletic department sponsors programs for 10 intercollegiate sports including basketball, baseball, golf, soccer, softball and cross country. The school's nickname is the Cougars. They are designated as a Division III member of the NJCAA participating in the Garden State Athletic Conference. Over the past few years, the athletic has experienced championship success especially with the Lady Cougar's soccer program.

The school provides students with extra-curricular activities in order to promote a sense of community. The athletic department sponsors and organizes several intramural leagues. There is a substantial amount of academic and social clubs available for students. Additionally, students can petition the student council for funding to start new clubs.

As a special tribute to the alumni of the school, a large LCD touch screen was in stalled in the Madison Connector Building. The database contains profiles of over 29,000 students who attended the school.
